Park Rangers

Nature within Šumava National Park is guarded by professional park rangers and volunteer staff - rangers and dispatchers.

The park rangers perform their duty within the Terrain Service Department which is divided into six regional offices based in Prášily, Srní, Modrava, Borová Lada, České Žleby and Stožec. The responsibility for compliance with nature conservation and landscape protection regulations is ensured by 27 professionals (field officers and territory patrol administrators) and 44 volunteer staff (rangers and dispatchers).
