Silva Gabreta is an international journal, which publishes peer-reviewed research papers, reviews, and short communications dealing with different aspects of natural history and nature protection especially within the territory of the Bohemian Forest. English is the major publication language; however, some contributions are published in German or Czech with an English abstract.

Silva Gabreta je mezinárodní sborník, kde jsou publikované recenzované vědecké práce a krátké informační zprávy se vztahem k regionu Šumavy. Širokooborové pojetí umožnuje publikování prací z oblasti přírodní historie a celého spektra přírodovědně orientovaných vědeckých discilín jako jsou geologie, pedologie, klimatologie, botanika, zoologie, lesnictví, ekologie, socioekonomie, aj. Preferovaným publikačním jazykem je angličtina, nicméně jsou publikované také příspěvky v německém a českém jazyce s anglickými abstrakty.

Silva Gabreta ist eine internationale Zeitschrift, in der rezensierte wissenschaftliche Artikel, Reviews und kurze Berichte vor allem bezüglich des Gebietes Böhmerwald/Bayerischer Wald veröffentlicht werden. Die interdisziplinäre Ausrichtung ermöglicht die Veröffentlichung von Arbeiten aus einem weiten Spektrum der Naturwissenschaften und Umweltschutz, wie z. B. Geologie, Pädologie, Klimatologie, Botanik, Zoologie, Forstwissenschaft, Ökologie, Sozioökonomie. Die Hauptsprache ist Englisch, es werden aber auch Artikel in deutscher und tschechischer Sprache akzeptiert.
